I was given *one* of these by one of my trainers on the second day of the Firefighter I class that I took starting in January '03. I've worn it every day since - while fighting fires, working in my shop (I make reproduction medieval armour), parenting, and all-around living - and it has yet to break or fail to give less than exemplary service. I've been meaning to actually *buy* a package for months, but am concerned that doing so will send a signal to my beloved hair elastic that I am expecting it's imminent demise. What to do? It's been somewhat of a miracle you see, and though I want to support the fine company that makes these miraculous elastics, I don't want to incur bad juju as a result of an ill-advised purchase :)
