The Fred & Lola line, born from the inspiration provided by Fred the Terrier and Lola the Bulldog, is brought to life by the creative talents of Elaine Appelson. After five years in the corporate world, Elaine decided to take her hobby to the next level and launched a line of one-of-a-kind glass earrings. Her designs were launched on the streets of SOHO, NYC alongside other neighborhood aspiring artists. This particular piece is a spectacular single loop, snap clasp barrette in a shiny gold hue with an Art Deco inspired enamel flower on top. The charming enamel floral piece is in a peaceful and lovely shade of lavender with a center pistil of a singular sparkling lilac hued crystal. The floral piece measures approximately 1 1/2" in diameter, and the single loop barrette measures approximately 1 1/2" in width, and can hold 1/4" - 1/2" of hair depending upon texture. A dreamy and elegant barrette for day to evening wear. Fred & Lola signature mark is on the underbelly of the floral piece. The Fred & Lola collection grew to include hair accessories and jewelry and can now be found in specialty boutiques and galleries nationwide. Elaine's designs have also been featured on the pages of Bridal Guide and Modern Bride magazine and are worn by the cast members of The Guiding Light.
