The Fred & Lola line, born from the inspiration provided by Fred the Terrier and Lola the Bulldog, is brought to life by the creative talents of Elaine Appelson. After five years in the corporate world, Elaine decided to take her hobby to the next level and launched a line of one-of-a-kind glass earrings. Her designs were launched on the streets of SOHO, NYC alongside other neighborhood aspiring artists. This particular barrette is an Art Deco inspired design in an elegant wave of beauty. An eye-pleasing enamel wave in light and dark variations of lavender swirls and hypnotizes onlookers with a rich opalescence and is set in a silver hued metal. This stunning design is set upon a barrette with a double-pronged clasp. The enamel wave design measures about 3 3/4" in length and 1/2" in width. The easy-clasp barrette measures approximately 2 3/4" in length and 3/8" in width and can hold up to 2" - 2 1/4" of hair depending upon texture. The Fred & Lola signature mark is on the back of the wave design piece. The Fred & Lola collection grew to include hair accessories and jewelry and can now be found in specialty boutiques and galleries nationwide. Elaine's designs have also been featured on the pages of Bridal Guide and Modern Bride magazine and are worn by the cast members of The Guiding Light.
