Product Details

H-n-W International creates decorative hair accessory pieces using the centuries old technique of enameling. The history of enameling dates back to 1500 B.C. and the ancient Egyptians. This barrette is composed of the always fashionable Art Nouveau and Art Deco style designs which are stamped onto a metal base plate of antiqued pewter alloy. Then crystal effects are applied by hand and the mold is then hand-painted. A protective lacquer is applied by the artisans. The result is a unique piece of decorative art that unites the timelessness of the Art Nouveau and the Art Deco styles with a historic artistic technique. The oval facing is approximately 2 3/4" x 1" with the automatic style barrette clasp in back measuring approximately 2" in length.
