Throughout history roses have symbolized love, romance and affection. They have also telegraphed additional
meanings that are tied to specific rose colors and shades. Of course there are a lot of different opinions
about what each rose color stands for, but in general, red roses symbolize love, respect and courage while yellow roses
are tied to meanings of youth, gladness and freedom. Show gratitude with pink or peach hued roses. White
is the traditional bride's flower that stands for purity and beauty. Add your own meanings and memories but
select a rose to wear for the ultimate romantic experience.
Roses are one of the cornerstones of the Karen Marie Le Fleur Collection. Karen Marie has a special fondness
for roses and thus was determined to search the world over for the very best silk roses that she could find.
Karen Marie's goal was to offer silk roses that were as close in color and feel to the original. Thus the American
Beauty Collection was created which consists of stunning silk roses that you will swear are the real thing.
Each of the American Beauty roses were personally hand selected by Karen Marie to be added to the
Le Fleur Collection. Close your eyes and use your fingertips to touch this classically shaped rose and you just might
think that you have the real deal. In fact, you may be tempted to take a deep whiff since the roses all
look so authentic. The difference is that this gorgeous Karen Marie rose will never wilt, fade or turn brown.
It will remain gorgeous and vibrant for many seasons of accessory embellishment.
The gorgeous rose petals made out of a soft, yet firm, silk material (to help hold the shape of the petals) are
arranged in a series of graduated sized circles so that the rose opens into full view around a slowly opening
center rose bud. The outer circle of petals are full and lush and range in size from approximately 2 1/4"
to 2 1/2" in diameter. As the open petal extends in towards the center bud, the petals are smaller in size and generally
range from 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" in diameter.
Keep in mind that since each silk rose is hand crafted, the shape and the sizes of the petals will be slightly
unique, from rose to rose, just like in Nature. However, the overall look and feel of the roses are very similar.
Each rose is carefully dyed with an array of complimentary colors to give the flower an authentic hue
that Nature might bestow. Each of the roses in this collection have slight graduated shadings of light and dark
to create the totally realistic color palette.
The rose has a total span of approximately 4 1/4" to 4 1/2" in diameter. This would be considered
a large sized flower and would be ideal for hair lengths that are medium to long. Because this is a large
flower that has a curved petal profile, it can not be reshaped to a different size or shape. Its integrity
is built around the fact that it is a fully open rose with a soft opening bud that is identical to one you might
cut off a real rosebush in your garden.
The American Beauty silk rose is carefully attached to a nickel based traditional salon clip that measures approximately
1 3/4" to 1 7/8" that has been wrapped in soft green floral tape (to make the clip "hair friendly") and
carefully hot glued to the base of the Rose and covered with a satin leaf. The Rose can be clipped
onto the back of a gorgeous updo, French or non-traditional twist or on a hat, belt, shoes or handbag.
Imported from the Orient, the flower was carefully hand assembled in the USA.
