Product Details
The vibrantly cheerful and whimsical Daisy does not get the respect that it deserves in the flower kingdom. Worn
with outrageous sass by Drew Barrymore on a past Red Carpet, daisies are the delight of young and old. Like their
larger Gerber cousin, the daisy telegraphs innocence. Described by Chaucer as the 'day’s eye' this flower
is associated with gentle beauty, purity, loyalty, love and delicious secrets.
Close your eyes and use your fingertips to touch this classically shaped daisy flower and you just might think that
you have the real thing. In fact, you may be tempted to take a deep whiff since the flower looks so authentic to
the real deal. The difference is that this gorgeous Karen Marie Daisy will not wilt, fade or turn brown.
It will remain gorgeous and vibrant for many seasons of accessory embellishment.
The gorgeous petals are created from a very soft silk material and are arranged in a series of
graduated sized circles so that the Daisy opens into full view and displays the inner green center.
The outer circles of petals are full and robust with approximately 20-22 petals that are oval shaped (like real
daisy petals) and are different lengths that range from approxiately 1/8" to 1 1/2" in length and 1/4" to 3/4" in
width.
The entire flower has a total span of approximately 4" in diameter. This would be considered a medium
sized flower and would be ideal for hair lengths that are medium to long. Because this is a medium flower
that has a slighly curved petal profile, it can not be reshaped to a different size or shape. Its integrity
is built around the fact that it is a fully open, daisy, identical to one you might pick from the field.
The Daisy is carefully attached to a nickel based traditional salon clip that measures approximately 1 3/4"
to 1 7/8" that has been wrapped in soft green floral tape (to make the clip "hair friendly") and carefully
hot glued to the base of the poppy with a satin leave. The Daisy can be clipped onto the back of a gorgeous
updo, French or non-traditional twist or on a hat, belt, shoes or handbag.
Imported from the Orient, the flower was hand assembled in the USA.
