The gorgeous rose petals made out of a soft, yet firm, silk material (to help hold the shape of the petals) are arranged
in a series of graduated sized circles so that the rose opens into full view around a series of small life like pistols.
Each petal is backed with a thin wire so it can be reshaped to a different size or shape. The outer circle of petals
are full and lush and range in size from approximately 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" in diameter. As the open petal extends in towards
the center, the petals are smaller in size and generally range from 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" in diameter.
Keep in mind that since each silk rose is hand crafted, the shape and the sizes of the petals will be slightly unique,
from rose to rose, just like in Nature. However, the overall look and feel of the roses are very similar. Each rose is
carefully dyed with an array of complimentary colors to give the flower an authentic hue that Nature might bestow. Each
of the roses in this collection have slight graduated shadings of light and dark to create the totally realistic color
palette.
The rose has a total span of approximately 4" to 4 1/2" in diameter. This would be considered a large sized flower
and would be ideal for hair lengths that are medium to long. Its integrity is built around the fact that it is a fully
open rose with a soft opening bud that is identical to one you might cut off a real rosebush in your garden.
The Wild silk rose is carefully attached to a nickel based traditional salon clip that measures approximately
1 3/4" to 1 7/8" that has been wrapped in soft green floral tape (to make the clip "hair friendly") and carefully hot
glued to the base of the Rose and covered with a satin leaf. The Rose can be clipped onto the back of a gorgeous updo,
French or non-traditional twist or on a hat, belt, shoes or handbag.
