Named from the French name for lemon,"citron," many citrines, which are a form of golden quartz, have a gorgeous juicy lemon color. Citrine includes yellow to gold to orange brown shades of transparent quartz. Sunny hued citrine can brighten any jewelry piece. It is known for blending well with the yellow hues of polished gold. In ancient times, citrine was carried as a protection against snake venom and evil thoughts. Citrine is given as a symbol of hope, youth, health, and fidelity. Each earring from this stunning set dangles approximately 3 1/2" from the very tip of the curved fishhook style silver hued earrings to the bottom of the Carnelian teardrop inspired semi-precious stones. These earrings each contain 5 deep red-orange semi-precious stones. The Carnelian stones are all approximately 1/4" in diameter.
