Reviewer: Close2Clowns@hotmail.com (Virginia)I purchased the Phytobaume Conditioner. I thought it was a leave in, but I kept it because I figured it would be good. I used it as a leave in, because my daughter forgot to use the conditioner in the shower, and I wanted to try it. I put water on my hands and added a small amount of the Phytobaume, rubbed my hands, and distributed it through my daughters hair. Then I added a little more to the ends. The Phytobaume worked very well as a leave in, so I am sure it will be a great rinse out conditioner. It will be a few days before she washes her hair again, but when she washes it I will comment on the results of the product used as it was intended. The Phytobaume kept her hair tangle free while I was blow drying and even after it was dry it felt soft, and there were 98% less tangles. I also used the Phytodefrisant. That is great too. It is not greasy, sticky or oily, it is silky and made my daughter's hair feel great. I added the link to a website to show how my daughter's hair looks after I blow dry it. The girl, or woman, in the top left corner has hair that looks very similar to my daughter's. My daughter's hair is shorter, on her shoulders, a little longer in the back when it is straight, and not as thick as the female on the website. My daughter's hair is relaxed, I could not find a picture to describe her natural hair, but if you have ever seen those Maury Povich shows with the uncombable, crazy curly hair makeovers, her hair is like all the before hair. I even joked with her that I needed to get her on the show. I do fix her hair, I do not make her go out with the insane mane. My daughter's hair is very damaged, she has broken hairs all over, split ends with 3 or 4 splits on a single strand, and she has white balls on the tips of a lot of the broken hairs, I think that is the cuticle. She hates to have her hair trimmed. These Phyto products are excellent. They are exactly as I expected, full of conditioning and no grease or crispy hair. I just started buying quality hair products online, and I will NEVER go back to the stuff on the Wal Mart shelves. I recently found a really good mild relaxer that produced no damage, and really improved my daughter's hair. It is the only relaxer that I would ever recommend . It is not a brand offered by Hair Boutique, so I feel it is wrong to post the name here. Check out the Hair Boutique boards if you relax your hair, but have not found a relaxer that does not damage your hair. Reviewer: raven703 (USA)I have used PHYTO for over fifteen years. I was a devotee when the intenet was a theory and great sites like this did not exist. I had to stock up on trips to Europe and have friends there send it to me. Slowly, in NYC a few salons carried it. It was outrageously expensive... then a few outrageously expensive apothecaries started carrying it... Happily, this great product is freely available at a reasonable price for all those who want excellent yet simple hair care products. The reason for my long preface is to ask if anyone else is familiar with Phyto BAUME - over time. I had not used it in several years and recently ordered it again. It is not the change in packaging that throws me off - but the change in product. It seems less viscous, lighter in colour (it used to be more pink), and a tiny bit less effective. Have I merely forgotten or has the BAUME been modified? I still highly recommend this product - it does what it sets out to do: it detangles, does not weight down hair, rinses easily, smoothes and calms the hair with a lovely light scent that does not interfere with other hair care products. It just used to be better. If I am wrong, I shall bite my tongue. If I am not mad, I would request the lab to return to the original formula - or at least offer two different formula - detangler (old form) and light detangler (new form). But do try it - it is still a very good product. I have in other reviews that both fine (usually limp. too) and thich hair have responded well to BAUME. Perhaps this newer formula is to accomodate both hair types...
Reviewer: Meg (Boston)My hair is long and fairly thick, and tends to be hopelessly tangled after a shampoo and even after using condition. After only a few days of using this product, my hair is softer, I can easily comb it after a shower, and it stays tangle free. I have also noticed that the light formula does not weigh my hair down, so the natural curl is now able to come through. I highly recommend this product!

It's great for fine hair and also thick hair. I have thick coarse hair and it still works very well with my hair. It leaves my hair very soft and manageable all day long!
Reviewer: Diane (Los Angeles)This is a great product for fine/thin hair that can't handle the heavier leave-in/detanglers. I like Curessence but it is still a little heavy for my hair. When I found the Phytobaume I was really thrilled with the way that it detangles and conditions with a very light touch. My sister has thicker hair and likes it too but I am just so happy to find a detangling/leave in that works as well for fine hair as it does other types. Thanks Phytotherathrie for the Phytobaume.
