I am an african american with really fine relaxed hair. This product tends to weigh my hair down, but if I only use a very very small amount it's great.

A great light moisturizer for Black hair!, March 16, 2005

I was afraid to try this product because it contains petrolatum, wax, mineral oil, and beeswax, all of which are ingredients I was told should not be applied to the hair. However, I read such great reviews on this site and the Phytospecific website that I decided to trust the brand's reputation and try the Beauty Styling Creme. I was very impressed right away. It appears quite thick in the jar, but a tiny dab melts quickly into a light, nicely fragranced oil that absorbs quickly into the hair. The product is not greasy on the hair or the skin, and left my hair very shine, soft, and moisturized. It just goes to show that there is more to a quality product than what's on the label!

Broke but Deliriously Happy, July 14, 2004

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!!! I visited Paris two years ago and walked into a pharmacy complaining about my shedding hair and ultra-dry scalp which was very noticeable and embarrassing. The doctor on staff highly recommended the PhytoSpecific line. Everyone noticed the difference less than a month later and complimented me on my hair. I was so impressed that I called the pharmacy and thanked that doctor. I’ve been hooked since to the point that I'm an unofficial spokesperson for the product - the company doesn't know it. I use the relaxer, hair crème, shampoo, grown serum, and conditioners but foolishly tried to go back to the everyday run-of-the mill products and paid dearly for it. I’ve learnt my lesson. This product is amazing and worth every penny. It’s the last luxury I would give up if I were told I needed to part with all other luxuries except one. Sadly, I cannot find the Phytogrowth Serum anywhere in the US. That item is very important as it helped me to restore my thinning hair and stimulated growth as it said it would. The bottom line is I would bet my money on PhytoSpecific any day. I could go on forever, but will stop here.
