So today was my first use of this AMAZING Vital Shampoo. I have to tell you I was skeptical because it came in a tube but just one quarter size squirt in your hand is all you need. It is a very thick rich feeling shampoo. It lathered and nourished my hair from root to end. Please don't think twice!!!! My hair is so very shiney and bouncy!!!! I have very thick and coarse hair 4a/b. This is a must. You will never go back!!!!!

Still one of the best shampoos for my type hair, December 19, 2007

OK. I tried the Phytorhum and it seemed to dry my hair out in this Texas weather. However, the Vital Force shampoo STILL works wonders. I've been using these products since 2004 (really hard to believe) and I have YET to find anything greater. The Vital Force shampoo never dries my hair no matter WHERE my location (and I've moved from St. Louis to Puerto Rico to Austin since my previous review on this product).

One word: YAY! I've tried a few of the shampoos (Intense Nutrition Shampoo, Jojoba Milk) and they are ALL great. But for my Type 4a curl hair, the Vital Force Shampoo has done it the most justice! It seemed to instantly replenish my hair from the missing moisture and heat I've subjected my hair to. It was like Phytorhum was giving my hair a big hug of moisture, protecting it even from my hair dryer and flat iron I use to straighten it! I am going to try the Phytorhum Shampoo next and report as soon as I get a chance to feel it out... ~Starr
