Distinctive Features
Our natural hair color is determined by melanin. Hair turns white when the hair bulb loses
its capacity to produce the melanin pigments. White hair or a white strand can be beautiful; however, when white or gray hair is subject to "yellowing", it becomes lackluster and
less attractive.
Causes
Hair yellowing has three causes:
- The melanocytes in the hair bulb retain some of their activity and continue to
partially pigment hair,
- Not protected by melanin, hair is easily oxidized by daily light and contact with
pollutants,
- Containing only a small amount of pigments, hair easily captures the pigments
contained in haircare products.
The PHYTO Solution
In order to address the problem of yellowing hair, it is necessary to use products that will
neutralize these unsightly coloring effects. For this purpose, Phyto uses an extract of
Chamomile essential oil: Chamomile Azulene. Its blue-tinted purple color neutralizes the
yellow effect without the risk of unwanted highlights.
