Distinctive Features
The diameter of fine-textured hair is up to 4 times lower than that of normal hair. Fine hair
becomes easily static, difficult to style and detangle, sensitive to external stress factors,
brittle and subject to split ends.
Fine hair is also at risk of becoming limp, without consistency to the touch. This is particuarly easy given that sebum spreads faster on fine hair.
Causes
This is neither a deficiency or an anomaly. It simply means that the cortex of the hair is
smaller than average.
The lack of volume in fine and limp hair may also be caused by other factors:
- Excess sebum that "plasters hair down"
- In case of hair loss problems, hair becomes sparse and thin
- Heavy and long hair looks flat and weighed down
The PHYTO Solution
Fine and limp hair needs:
- Coating agents in order to thicken the hair shafts (coating plant mucilage: wood
cellulose, coating protein solutions such as hydrolyzed keratin and chitin)
- Energizing and vitalizing active ingredients to invigorate hair at the roots
(decoctions of astringent plants such as Tormentil, Comfrey, Nettle or Yarrow)
- A lightweight texture to add body to the hair.
